Our accommodation for the first days of May was the youth hostel in tranquil Pottenstein. The mountain location of the accommodation alone certainly improved the fitness level of the students (and teachers) over the five days. In order to complete our varied weekly program, we always had to get from the mountain to the valley and back again. So we hiked all kinds of kilometers and experienced a lot. On the day of arrival, we climbed the adventure rock and put the summer toboggan run through its paces. Tuesday began with a visit to the famous Devil's Cave and in the afternoon we had the choice of scrambling in the climbing forest or playing golf on the course. Another cave was explored on Wednesday. They first descended into the dark realm of the cave spider using an abseiling device and then continued down numerous corridors and chambers, mostly in a prone or supine position. Respect for everyone who took on this challenge. On the last day before departure, archery and Pottenstein Castle were on the agenda, before the evening ended with a cozy campfire (which turned into an open-air disco at a late hour). After five days, an action-packed and eventful week came to an end.
Franconian Switzerland is ideal for an adventure class trip where you can move around a lot and learn a lot about the landscape, nature and history.
