After a quiz about famous books in different languages, we went to the Marx bookshop in Zwickau, which once again looked after us with great care. There we learned a lot about the book trade, looked at beautiful and exciting books and, most importantly, were given the latest volume of the "Ich schenke dir eine Geschichte" (I'll give you a story) campaign by the German Publishers and Booksellers Association.
The book is called "Cool as Bolle" and we can't wait to see if it's as funny as it looks.
With at least one book in our luggage, each of us drove back to our home town of Reinsdorf. There we were warmly welcomed in the small but beautiful library.
To get to know the library better, we started with a rally in which the class was really clever and quickly understood how to search for books without a computer.
Afterwards, we all chose exciting books, talked about them and read a few lines to each other. It's really nice that there are so many diligent readers in the class.
We would like to thank Mrs. Niklaus, the librarian, who invited us again and with whom we had such a great time in the library in Reinsdorf. Many of us found exciting titles and some of us want to apply for a reading card. It's really lucky to have such a great library on site and it's great that we as a class have now been able to do German lessons "in the wild".
Hopefully you can now also get enthusiastic about World Book Day, because reading is also sport for the mind, so to speak.
Officially, World Book Day is celebrated on April 23, the anniversary of the deaths of Shakespeare and Cervantes. Class 5 had to celebrate it later, however, and here it runs until the end of May.
