A world without polio

Thanks to consistent vaccinations, polio is no longer an issue in Germany. However, as long as polio viruses are still present in Afghanistan or Pakistan, for example, we cannot be carefree.

This is why the International Schools Reinsdorf and other institutions in the SIS network are taking part in a Rotary campaign. Under the slogan "END POLIO NOW", the Rotarians are calling for a collection of plastic drinks lids. Teachers and pupils from IOR and IGR are actively involved. On 24.10.23, we handed over 13 kg directly at the Rotarians' information stand on the market square in Zwickau and learned that so many lids have been collected throughout the entire association so far that around 1100 vaccinations could be carried out for them. Every lid counts and it would be really nice if even more people would get involved. We are also happy to accept collected lids from private individuals in the community as a sign of solidarity and pass them on.
