As in the previous year, the route started at the Sachsenlandhalle and covered asphalt, mud, and, of course, lots of leaves! The 10 runners naturally wore their self-designed "Spitzenklasse 10IGR" sports shirts as a symbol of true community. The day began with the prearranged meeting point at 9 a.m. at the local Kaufland supermarket so that the run could start punctually at 10:06 a.m. So once again, it was necessary to get up early, even on a Sunday. Then it was off to the starting line and, after the starting signal, into the fray.
Despite the mixed weather conditions, the first in the class reached the finish line with a time of 20:37 minutes. After the rest had crossed the finish line, everyone received a medal and a headband as souvenirs. After a short break, it was back to Reinsdorf, where some students and parents treated themselves to a well-deserved detour to McDonald's.
A successful experience for "Seidel's Eleven," as the team's running times improved on last year's results. We also had a new classmate who was able to share this experience with us.
