Shortly after the event began, the weather initially seemed to want to dampen the good mood: Around 2 p.m., many guests as well as the participating clubs and schools had to seek shelter from a heavy downpour. We from the International Schools Reinsdorf were also affected and quickly dismantled our information stand to protect our materials and technology from the wet.
Fortunately, the rain didn't last long and the sun soon returned. With fresh energy and high spirits, we were able to set up our stand again and put our wheel of language fortune into operation.
This little highlight attracted a lot of interest from young and old alike. Numerous children tried their luck, while their parents took the opportunity to find out about the educational concept and the special features of our school.
We were particularly pleased with the direct exchange with many interested families, who asked questions with curiosity and were enthusiastic about the relaxed atmosphere at our stand. Despite a brief break in the weather, the afternoon was a complete success for us: we were able to present ourselves, have interesting conversations and showcase a piece of the school community to the outside world.
