At 2 pm the preparations began. Each class designed their own section of the school grounds according to their individual ideas. Not long after, the first guests arrived and eagerly tested their accuracy in apple bobbing, ring or dart throwing and aiming a fire hose at a target. Also demanded were fine-motor skills at the station for writing Chinese characters.
Among all the visitors were the soon-to-be fifth graders, who will become a part of our school community next year. The main stage however, belonged entirely to our current fifth graders, who confidently performed plays in both English and Spanish, proudly showcasing the language skills they acquired this year.
A variety of food and drinks was available throughout the afternoon and those looking for new school uniforms had the chance to browse the clothing store inside the building.
By 5 pm the festival slowly came to an end as students, teachers, and guests joyfully made their way home.
On the afternoon of June 4, 2025, we, the students and teachers of the International Schools Reinsdorf, transformed our schoolyard into a cheerful venue for our summer party.
At 2 p.m. sharp, we started with the first preparations and each class individualized their area of the schoolyard with their ideas and concepts. Shortly afterwards, the first guests arrived and demonstrated their precision in apple diving, ring and dart throwing or in hitting the target with a fire hose and their dexterity in writing Chinese characters. Among them were the three future new 5th graders, who will become part of our school community next year. The big stage, however, was reserved for the current fifth graders, who performed plays in both English and Spanish and bravely showed off their language skills.
With the help of a selection of different food and drinks, the physical well-being was taken care of in the meantime and those who were still looking for new school clothes could help themselves to the school clothes sale in the building.
At 5 pm, the party came to an end and guests, teachers and pupils alike went home with a smile on their faces.
