With "genialsozial – lokal," there is the opportunity to donate a certain percentage of the money earned to a social project in the school's local area. We implemented this, and the participating young people were able to vote on which institution they wanted to support with the money. The International Gymnasium and the International Oberschule both chose the same cause: the family residential group in Reinsdorf. So, on November 14, 2025, we were delighted to present the children and caregivers of the residential group with a check for €800. Four students made their way there to hand over the check and were given a tour of their home by some of the children in the residential group. They asked the children questions about their everyday lives and noticed that it was not so different from their own. The money is expected to be invested in the expansion of the outdoor area. This will give the kids more space to play and run around, as well as to grow even more of their own fruit and vegetables.
Our students are delighted to be able to support social projects in developing countries and locally with their hard work. The International Schools Reinsdorf will continue to participate in the campaign day with great commitment in the future.
