With a lot of commitment, our students and teachers prepared the open day during three project days. Thus, it was possible to take a journey through many countries, be it culinary or in the form of characters foreign to us. Turkey and France were explored in all facets - language, history and cuisine.
Yoga sessions were also offered to show how children can get through the school day in a relaxed way. Here, too, parents and visitors could try their hand.
Our visitors who were keen on experimenting were not left out either. There was plenty to experience and try out in the physics and chemistry rooms. Burning money was very popular with our visitors and astonished looks were often to be seen.
One of the many highlights was certainly the volcanic eruption. The experiment, which our IB students had prepared and explained, was so well attended that the room was bursting at the seams.
Already at the entrance, everyone was greeted by the aroma of delicious food. Our graduating classes took care of the physical well-being.
There were many questions around the topic of school registration and in the secretary's office Mrs. Franz hardly had time to catch her breath so that all questions could be answered.
The two information sessions held by Mrs. Irmisch, the principal of the International Schools Reinsdorf, and two students were very well attended. Former students also commented on their careers at the school and their current studies or training in a profession.
Music, colorful balloons, smiling faces - there was life in every corner and room and the school resembled a book of Wimmel.
In the end, everyone was satisfied, exhausted and happy about the successful day.
