The new school year began almost immediately for the pupils in our fifth grade in Reinsdorf with a class trip to the Ore Mountains. Under the motto "Kultursprung: Indigenous cultures", all three classes boarded the train in Zwickau on the morning of 28.08.2024 and made their way to Neudorf am Fichtelberg.
The Weimar Kulturexpress makes a stop in Reinsdorf

On Thursday of the second school week, the International Schools Reinsdorf hosted the traveling theater group of the Weimar Kulturexpress. The play "Mobbing - Wenn Ausgrenzung einsam macht" was performed twice in the gymnasium, which had been converted into a playhouse.
Snow White and the new fifth grade classes

After almost a week of getting to know their new school, the new Year 5 pupils in Reinsdorf set off on their first day of hiking with us. Almost like in a fairy tale, they walked through the forest to the open-air stage at Schwanenteich in Zwickau.

On June 7, 2024, a special event of the International Schools Reinsdorf took place in the Erlenwald ballroom in Vielau: the Musical Gala.

Innovative teaching: The Escaperoom in class 9 IGR

Tuesday morning in class 9 IGR: instead of the traditional bell ringing for ethics lessons, the pupils were confronted with an unusual experiment. Inspired by the concept of "escape rooms", their classroom was transformed into a labyrinth full of puzzles and challenges. The occasion? A unique lesson about making moral and ethical decisions.

Bernhard Schlink is one of the most important and successful authors of our time and, thanks to his international bestseller "The Reader", is more than just known to Saxon schoolchildren. Today he commutes between Berlin and New York and, after a long career as a lawyer and writer, now devotes himself entirely to writing.
