Elephant, tiger and co. - animal encounters on all continents

On the Friday before the annual report cards, classes 5IGR and 6IGR set off for Leipzig together with Dr. Voit and Mr. Seidel. The destination of the excursion: Leipzig Zoo.

After a short briefing, the students also went off directly in small groups, after all, each group wanted to set different priorities and not walk along bored with the teachers or animal keepers.

One of the highlights for everyone was certainly the newly opened aquarium, where there were a variety of fish and other sea creatures to see, which you usually only know from animated films such as Finding Nemo.

Gondwanaland was also one of the most frequented places. Not only that one got to see a sloth that climbed to the very top of the hall ceiling. You could also see a crowned maki cheekily stealing food from a turtle's mouth.

It is always interesting to observe the behavior of animals shortly before food is available. Following an inner clock, they seem to wait for the appropriate sign, an opening door or their respective keeper. Fascinating without end.

In beautiful summer weather, a great and eventful excursion at the end of the school year!
